A stand out for me was the ‘Panthère’
A symbol of power and elegance.

What a wonderful entry to my virtual museum journey.
The British Museum site is definitely worth a visit.
I chose the Mold Gold Gap to investigate. Something that brightened up my day.
An interactive audio-visual installation by stage designer Es Devlin

I am looking back on photos and visits I made over the Christmas break and there is no doubt that my favourite 2017 Christmas tree is ‘The Singing Tree’ by Es Devin at the V&A London. I don’t think it is too late to go and see it either.
The tree sings words, which have been collected from V&A visitors and produces a constantly regenerating ‘carol’ sung by an interactive choir of human and synthesized voices.
A beautiful tree, in an amazing setting and with voices in the background created something which touched all your senses.
As Christmas comes to a close and 2018 is nearly upon us, I am taking time out to review the forthcoming cultural landscape and it looks exciting!

I visited ‘The American Dream ‘pop to the present at the weekend and I am so sorry this exhibition has now closed. I would have gone earlier and shouted from the rooftops for people to see it. This exhibition included works by American artists; Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg and many more. The design and content of the show was truly inspiring, providing an insight into the production of the works alongside the art and in a space, which enabled visitors to contemplate and enjoy the experience fully.
A really good British Museum moment.
There is no doubt some things make you stop and set you up for the day. This did.Have not had a chance to visit the exhibition but it is on my agenda.

Rowland Emett ‘The Featherstone-Kite Gentleman’s Flying Machine 1962.’ Is such an enjoyment to watch.Brighton Museum and Art Gallery

I found some hidden Gems at Sir John Soane’s Museum. Not being able to take photographs inside added an interesting edge to this visit . So much packed into such a small space.
Women Artists from the fine art collection at the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. Early Morning by Dod Procter (was born Doris Shaw). This made me stop in my tracks. The pose, the image and all this creates a feeling of calm. A start of something new.
A lover of the ballet I am always drawn to something that reminds me of my past. The ballet shoe by Dame Laura Knight and my landscape is developing. www.brighton-hove-rpml.org.uk
There is no doubt Brighton has a cultural vibrance and is placed in my landscape.
I found this object very thought provoking. Not knowing where it came from provides many unanswered questions. Haris Epaminonda selected found objects, this being one of them and is part of a series ‘Volumes’ and on display at the Tate Modern. I found this figure powerful but sad.
