A great day in Leicester Square. An amazing show at the National Portrait Gallery. I have to admit I am a Giacometti fan but this show provided me with an insight into his art, life and loves. Not having to queue to read a label or move round in crowds was pure pleasure. A great coffee in the café in the basement was then the perfect end.

Exhibition Road prepares for Christmas and along side the sparkling ice rink a really lovely artwork .What a good start to my Christmas cultural journey and its November!
A James Bond film treat first and an introduction to the Day of the Dead in Mexico. An amazing array of experiences at the British Museum and Family Festival ‘Days of the Dead’ and finally a rather unusual but interesting film moment watching ‘the Book of Life’.
Its great to see artistic talent and something different beyond the walls of more formal art venues.
Although a little crowded the AI Weiwei exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts gave me food for thought. A lot more than I expected.
Brand positioning, a thought provoking experience and very different to my usual cultural hit.
Audrey Hepburn ‘Portraits of an Icon’. A beautiful women with hidden talents working with UNICEF and winning a medal of freedom for her efforts. ‘Being beautiful’

What’s fun is finding the unexpected and in unusual places. I have only begun the trail of the London Design Festival but The Norfolk House Music Room at the V&A and The ‘Curiosity Cloud’ by an Austrian duo Mischer’ traxler.happened to be my first stop. There is lots about this experience that has made me investigate their work further. The creation of the different glass bulbs, the amazing fluttering of the mechanical butterflies inside, a sound and visual extravaganza! Feeling good and finding out more.

Attending degree shows and reviewing school projects is such an inspiration. There is so much talent out there and finding a way to provide a helping hand is definitely a goal. My skill learnt today is another IT challenge. Adobe Acrobat Pro and at last I can provide one attachment with all the papers enclosed. Phew I have written the instructions down. Back to beautiful things.
